Everett Democratic City Committee to Hold 2018 Caucuses

The Everett Democratic City Committee is pleased to announce that they will hold their Annual Caucus on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Edward G. Connolly Center, 90 Chelsea Street, Everett. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. and close promptly at 10:00 a.m. Once registration is closed and the caucus begins, no additional registration will be permitted.

The purpose of the caucus is to elect delegates and alternates to the 2018 Massachusetts Democratic Convention, where Democrats from across the state will gather to meet fellow activists and hear from elected officials. The convention will be held on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the DCU Center in Worcester, where delegates will come together to endorse Democratic candidates for statewide office, including Constitutional Officers and gubernatorial candidates.

The caucus is open to all who are registered and pre-registered Democrats in Everett. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 18 by September 18, 2018 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. You must be present at the caucus to run.

Youth, minorities, people with disabilities and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or at http://www.massdems.org.
