Outlook: Having missed the playoffs the last two seasons with identical 8-12 records, head coach Stacy Schiavo, in her 20th year at the helm, is confident her team is going to have a bounce-back year.
A combination of youth and inexperience on the mound had a lot to do with the team’s struggles over the last two seasons, but a focus on pitching in the offseason and another year of experience under the players belts has led to growth that should cancel out both shortcomings.
If the lady Tide can build a steady presence on the mound, an athletic and youthful roster should help lead them back into the postseason mix.
