Chief Mazzie Gives an Informative Presentation to EPS Staff
As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure that the safety of its students and staff is its Number 1 priority, the Everett Public Schools convened a public safety meeting on Thursday, April 5 inside the Frederick F. Foresteire Center for the Performing Arts. Nearly every member of the district’s 1,100-plus workforce
attended the presentation, which was led by Everett Police Chief Steven Mazzie. The chief gave an informative and engaging talk in which he outlined the best practices for dealing with acts of violence such as an “active shooter.” He used a PowerPoint presentation, videos, and his vast experience in law enforcement to impart valuable and potentially life-saving advice to school employees. The Chief will give the presentation to those members of the EPS who weren’t present last week in the near future.
