At this week’s Everett High School graduation, 482 students will be ending one period of their lives and beginning another.
They will be heading into a rapidly changing world they cannot really imagine at a time when technology far outpaces our capacity to deal with it, when news happens so fast that history becomes obscured in a blur of Internet information.
About 80% of EHS graduates will be attending college.
The other 20% will enter the workforce or the armed forces. We offer our congratulations to this year’s graduates, and to their parents and grandparents.
Let this graduation from Everett High School be the beginning of much bigger things to come for all of you.
Good luck to you all.
Congratulations.
