We agree with Councilor Mike McLaughlin that the effort to disband the Everett Auxiliary Police Force doesn’t gain more than is lost by doing so.
The effort now ongoing to disband the force in favor of having reserve police pick up the slack is not a neat fit.
The Auxiliary Police Force has been around for about 100 years. It has a great tradition.
The APF has served the city well time and time again.
We are asking again, what is gained by disbanding the APF.
Again, what is lost?
