Lynn man dead after Everett Officer-Involved Shooting ends in Revere Sunday Morning

A police chase which apparently began in Everett early Sunday morning ended in Revere with the shooting death of a Lynn man, whose name has not been released.

The shooting occurred about 12:34 a.m. Sunday, August 4 on Washington Avenue near the intersection with Sargent Street in Revere.

The State Police and Suffolk County DA’s office have not yet released anything public about the ongoing investigation into the use of deadly force by the Everett police officer, whose name has not been released.

The State Police say they were called to investigate an officer-involved shooting involving Everett police.

The shooting occurred about 12:34 a.m. Sunday on Washington Avenue near the intersection with Sargent Street in Revere.

A 32 year old man was shot dead.

Suffolk District Attorney Rachael Rollins said her office would complete an impartial review of the shooting.

The shooting apparently followed a police chase between officers and the suspect that started in Everett. Officials haven’t released details about how the chase started and a spokesman for MSP said those details are part of the overall investigation.

Calls by the Leader Herald to the State Police, the Suffolk County DA’s office, and to the Everett Police were not returned.
