In taking down mighty Brockton last week by a score of 36-21, the Crimson Tide (3-1) are riding a three-game win streak as they move on to Friday’s showdown with longtime GBL rival Medford High School.
The Mustangs (3-0) are winless this season, and numbers and history say it may remain that way when the clock hits zero Friday (5PM kickoff) at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Crimson Tide have scored a combined 107 points over their last 4 games, including 30+ in their last two matches, a sign that the offense is gelling in ways that do not bode well for Medford.
In the Mustangs first 3 games, they’ve scored a combined 20 points for an average of just over 6 points per game. That number won’t be enough to combat an Everett offense that’s scored 68 points the last two games.
During this time last year, Everett pummeled Medford, 33-0, and that included a 27-point first quarter.
If history is any indication, the Tide should roll to win number five on Friday night.
