Adrien launches citywide Listening Tour de Force

By Josh Resnek

City Councilor at-Large elect Gerly Adrien is sprinting out of the starter’s box announcing she is going on a citywide “Listening Tour.”

In one of the most unusual and creative political efforts intended to help gain insight into what residents want out of her as their councilor at-large, she will be launching a citywide tour beginning November 18 – December 18.

A series of meet and greet events will be held in all six wards of the city, and she is making herself available for possible appearances inside the public schools, as well as holding meetings with minority business owners.

“I am so excited to serve. It is what I have wanted to do since I was growing up here when I was ten years old,” she told the Leader Herald.

“This is what I have dreamed of all my life. It is like a dream come true and I have pledged to work hard to bring my message to the people.

Adrien will be holding a Thanksgiving Dinner at Glendale Towers where she intends to say thanks to seniors living there.

That dinner will be held November 20, 4-6 p.m.

In addition to visits with residents of all six wards, she will be sending out postcards, doing Robo calls, sending ringless voicemails and texts.
