Everett, via Encore, entertained one of the grandest – by way of his craft – of entertainers, Jim Beam’s grandson and fellow crafter of spirits, Freddie Noe.
Noe, a Kentucky native and actual grandson of the Jim Beam that has his name printed on the bottle of bourbon he created that you sometimes see around, was in-house Monday to showcase his newest spirit “Little Book Chapter 3”.
“[Chapter 3 of Little Book] it’s special to me and to our family because it’s a blend of the original small batch collection,” said Noe, who touched on how his grandfather gathered the combination of liquids that goes into a bottle of his newest drink. “The product itself pays a lot homage to him. But this specific chapter pays a lot of homage not only to my grandfather but just to our family in general and to the liquids my grandfather created 25 years ago,” he said.
“It’s great to be able to bring it to the east coast and here at the Encore Casino and Hotel because the reason we make whisky in our family has always been to share it with the world. So any chance I get to get out of the lovely state of Kentucky and talk about our products and share a couple cocktails with people it’s a great opportunity so I’m glad to be here,” said Noe of his visit to Everett.
Noe hosted the tasting of his newest iteration of spirits, served neat or on the rocks, in Encore’s Garden Lounge alongside samplings of food from Encore’s kitchens.
And Just before taking photos with guest, Noe gave a final toast and proclaimed to the crowd “May there be no hell, and if there is, I’ll see you there”.
