Lifelong resident, taught special needs children

Gloria Keane A. (Giardiello), A lifelong Everett resident, passed away on April 15, 2020, at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, she was 92 years old. Devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Giardiello.

She was the beloved wife of the late Martin J. Keane. Loving mother of Joseph Keane, Former Everett City Counselor James Keane and his wife Ann-Marie K Duffy-Keane, and Marybeth Meyers and her husband James Meyers.

Cherished grandmother of Daniel Meyers and his wife Carolina Botero Meyers, and Andrea Meyers. Cherished great grandmother of Gabriela Meyers and Sebastian Meyers. Loving sister of Doris Giardiello and the late Mary Giardiello, Josephine DiFranza and her husband Robert, Margaret Franco and her husband Charles, Mildred Perriello and her husband Vincent. Dear friend of the late Mary Cataldo and Arthur

White. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Gloria was a graduate of Everett High School, Chandler Business School. She was employed by the Federal Government, Mass General Hospital and taught special needs children in the Everett Public School System for 20 years until she retired. She was a member of St. Therese Ladies Sodality, Everett Historical Society, and the Everett Garden Club. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Katzman Family Center For Living, 17 Lafayette Ave, Chelsea, MA 02150. In accordance with the CDC, MA Dept. of Public Health, Archdiocese of Boston guidelines and local restrictions on gatherings and congregations due to COVID-19, services will be privately held.
