A fall without football is like a kitchen without a sink

There will be no Crimson Tide football this fall.

Of all the calamities caused by the virus, this is about the worst in terms of how it plays out on the lives of our high school athletes.

It is more than the athletes who suffer from this gigantic loss.

Cheerleaders can’t cheer.

Band members can’t march and play their instruments. Fans can’t gather in the stands for an afternoon or an evening of great entertainment.

Great wins can’t be scored.

Championships can’t be won.

What a situation the new normal has placed upon high school sports this fall.

It isn’t the end of the world, but it comes pretty close to it for everyone who takes part in the cavalcade of interconnected events powered by Everett High School Crimson Tide football at Everett Memorial Stadium.
