Edward Joseph Griffin III, 82, a resident of Everett, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, October 3, at his home.
Ed was born on February 11, 1938, one of five children of the late Edward Griffin and Mary (O’Keefe) Griffin. Ed was raised in Everett and graduated from Boston College High School. Ed married his loving wife Rene and together they began their life in Everett and raised their four children. Before his retirement, Ed worked for Harvard University as a foreman in their printing department.
He will be remembered as the beloved husband of Rene (McGloin) and the loving father of Gail Griffin of Everett, Edward Griffin of Chelsea, Michael Griffin of Everett, and Lynda Saitta and her husband Anthony of Derry, NH. He was also the proud grandfather of Haley, DeAnna, Anthony, Matthew, and Nicole. He was the brother of Catherine Rumson and her husband William of FL, Patricia Brielle of FL, Eileen Griffin of Everett, and the Late Diane Telerico.
