The question is Trump or Biden

It’s your chance on Nov. 3 to choose the next president

Next Tuesday is D-Day for all the Democrats who believe Trump cannot win.

It is D-Day for President Trump, who claims Sleepy Joe Biden can’t win.

It is D-Day for the nation’s pollsters, whose polls reveal Biden with a solid lead going into the final week of the campaign. However, many people don’t believe in the polls. Many Americans believe the polls lie.

The polls are scientific but pollsters questioning men and women voters – who are human beings caught up in their lives and not exactly scientific – cannot be certain they are notching truthful answers from sample voters unwilling to come clean about who they will be voting for when push comes to shove.

It is D-Day for all those who believe earnestly that democracy is at risk and that the nation may course into disintegration if Trump is elected again.

It is D-Day for all those who believe earnestly that democracy is at risk and that the nation may course into disintegration if Trump is elected again.

Those supporting Trump believe the nation will falter and collapse if the Democrats take hold of the reins of power, again.

Democrats are nearly all in a state of apoplexy about the possibility that Trump could be elected again.

They cannot believe he might win again.

It is too late now for a political earthquake to change the course of this election.

It is basically done.

Here in Everett, City Clerk Sergio Cornelio is looking up at an election landscape where more than 7,000 voters out of a possible 22,000 have already cast their ballots by mail – an incredible pre-election day tally that won’t be counted up until Election Day itself.

Many more have voted early and continue to cast their ballots before Election Day.

Will we know who won on Election Day night?

“That’s a good question,” Cornelio told the Leader Herald.

“We will know in Everett,” he said with pride.

Will it be a Biden sweep as so many Democrats are predicting and praying for or will Trump pull it out?

Everett will vote for Biden and Harris.

Nine out of ten registered voters here are Democrats.

The city’s history is all bound up in New Deal Era Democratic style politics.

Roosevelt was a great hero here.

John F. Kennedy was beloved.

Clinton was very popular. Obama scored well.

Will it be Trump or Biden?

Will the House remain Democratic or swing to the Republicans?

Will the Senate remain Republican? Does Biden win the presidency while his Democratic colleagues lose the House and gain the Senate or vice versa?

Perhaps next week we will have answers to these vexing questions.
