Over-development

There isn’t a homeowner in the city or an apartment dweller who isn’t inconvenienced in their lives by the over-development now taking place in every neighborhood in the city.

Capone spoke about this during a campaign rally Saturday.

He said the over-development needs to be controlled.

He is spot on about this.

If it cannot be controlled, then it needs to be guided by the mayor, or better yet, by someone interested in the well-being and the future of the city rather than an elected public official looking for quid pro quos at every corner, and on every street from developers looking to make a buck off the back of the city and its quality of life.

Development is important.

Over-development is destructive and self-defeating for the future well-being of everyone calling this place their home.

This is a well-known sentiment held by many thousands of Everett residents and completely disregarded by the present mayor and his administration’s voracious appetite for over-development.

Either Capone or mayoral candidate Gerly Adrien will be a more suitable alternative to the mad rush for over-development now being pursued by the DeMaria crew.

The rush for personal riches spurns on the DeMaria crew.

This is not the way it’s supposed to work in a municipality like Everett.

Look around.

You can’t trust the mayor anymore to do the right thing. The right thing is to stop the over-development and to control development for the betterment of the city.
