The Encore Boston Harbor Casino and Hotel racked up impressive numbers in October.

Encore took in $5.3 million more in gaming revenues in October than September, according to records released this week by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

Encore’s gaming income totaled $62.8 million as compared with September’s figure, which was a record, of $57.4 million.

Encore generated an unbelievable $32.2 million from slot machines.

Its table game take amounted to $30.5 million. These figures do not include revenues generated by the hotel or rents and revenues generated by the restaurants operating inside the entertainment complex.

Last weekend, the hotel was rented to capacity Friday and Saturday night.

Capacity room rentals at the hotel is a boon for the City of Everett as the city collects room tax fees and can earn as much as $5 million in room fees in one year.

To date this has not materialized as it took a while for the hotel to get off the ground, and then came the pandemic.

MGM Springfield showed more life and boosted its take from gaming by $2.1 million from September.

October’s take totaled $21.4 million.

Plainridge Park Casino, a slot machine mecca only, revealed slightly smaller numbers than the month before.

Its take was about $11.7 million in October compared with September’s $11.9 million.
