Frances Sorrento

SORRENTO, Frances (Zagarella) of Everett, entered into eternal rest, unexpectedly, January 16, 2022 in the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 83 years old.

Born in East Boston, Frances has been a resident of Everett for most of her life. She was retired from the Archdiocese of Boston.

Frances was also very active at St. Anthony’s Church, teaching CCD and singing in the choir. She also worked at St. Anthony’s Parochial School as librarian and she also taught music. Frances was also a professional and talented seamstress. Frances, after moving from her home, became a resident of the Villa Co-Op in Everett.

There she became very active in the management of the facility with rentals, etc. Beloved wife of the late Vincent J. Sorrento, Sr. for over 52 years. Dear and devoted mother of Frank J. and his wife, Lisa of Mal- den, Vincent J., Jr. of Danvers and Bridget Abbott and her husband, Sean of NH. Loving “Grammy” of Joseph, Samantha and Sofia Sorrento. Sister of the late Joseph, Robert and Stephen Zagarella, Philly Pagliuca, Tina Bernard and Rose Murray. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Frances’ visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Sunday, Jan. 23 from 3-6 p.m. Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, 38 Oakes St., Everett, at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Contributions in Frances’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be sincerely appreciated. Parking with attendants on duty.
