OK. The Patriots, it turns out, never had a chance.
From the first snap of the game Josh Allen outdid everyone around him on the playing field. He played like a champion.
He and his teammates came to win.
The Patriots came to lose.
It is really as simple as that.
So there is no need to determine what went wrong. The Patriots just didn’t have it.
The better team won.
That being said, the most infuriating thing about this pitiful playoff loss in a game that wasn’t close couldn’t have ended any other way.
The Patriots game ended miserably, as many expected.
Then came the Buccaneers who most of us pay attention to because Tom Brady is leading them and Gronk is right there by his side.
What are those two doing playing for the Buccaneers?
It is infuriating to watch them playing together, and winning, and moving again toward another possible Super Bowl appearance.
I have always believed Bob Kraft was smart.
Well, how smart can he be to watch and to wonder about Brady and Gronk getting away?
How does he deal with this?
What went wrong?
How could this have happened?
If it is torture for all of us mortals, then how can Bob Kraft feel?
He feels foolish.
After all, there is no other way to feel.
