Al Michaels and Chris Collingsworth can talk the hind legs off a donkey. They did just that during the Super Bowl game Sunday. Collingsworth must have needed oxygen after listening to himself talk for about 4 hours.
When the Rams won, Collingsworth called the game the greatest ever and went on and on with hyped superlatives that frankly was capable of causing incontinence in most of us.
Sunday’s contest between the Rams and the Bengals was not the greatest Super Bowl game ever played.
It wasn’t even close.
The game featured two winning NFL teams at the very best level of play they are capable of in the one game where we all expect to be dazzled by sports heroics.
I wanted the Bengals to win.
I don’t care that they lost.
I am left empty that the Bengals won.
What I really missed…Tom Brady. The GOAT.
Without Brady in it it didn’t seem like a riveting Super Bowl. Then there was the half time show.
Eminem taking a knee…you’ve got to be kidding me.
What was memorable was Snoop Dog’s attire.
Have you ever seen a get-up quite like the one he was wearing! The game was OK.
Some real action was mixed with a lot of nothing happening. My biggest rush was seeing Lebron James, Ben Affleck and J-lo in the $8,000 seat crowd.
Maybe Mac Jones can get the Pats there next year and we can all have a great time watching the game.
