I Eat Chocolate And Or Vanilla Ice Cream; Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Chip Rocks

By Josh Resnek

This is more than anyone needs to know about my ice cream habit.

I eat only chocolate or vanilla, sometimes preferring them together.

Yup. That’s me – chocolate or vanilla.

Also, I tend not to eat ice cream unless it is extremely creamy, extremely tasty, extremely smooth and is served extremely cold so it isn’t melting and making a mess when it is handed to me.

Ice cream must be an event for me.

For many, many years, I loved Brigham’s ice cream. Then I morphed to Friendly’s, then came the designer ice creams like Ben and Jerry’s – which I do not care for and do not buy. I wouldn’t eat it if you gave it to me.

For the past year, I have settled on Haagen-Dazs chocolate chip.

It is my go to ice cream when I am jonesing for a sweet delight.

Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Chip has all the elements that matter.

It is creamy. It is choc full of chocolate chips. The chocolate taste is rich but not too overpowering. The coloring yells out dark chocolate but the taste is much more pleasing than a dark chocolate product.

By itself, I regard this as the best chocolate chip ice cream available in most major supermarkets today.

However, chocolate only can be overpowering, even for those of us who love chocolate.

To cut the rough edge of the chocolate only experience, I suggest Market Basket Ready Whip liberally applied in a huge swirl covering the ice cream in your bowl.

The whipped cream has very little food value but has the essence of advancing the ice cream experience.

For those of you who cannot possibly put up with whipped cream out of a can, I suggest a bit of vanilla ice cream to go along with the chocolate.

I do not suggest Haagen-Dazs vanilla. I don’t care for it.

I am presently hooked on Alden’s Organic Vanilla.

This is an absolutely five-star vanilla ice cream product that pleases every time those of us who are finicky about our ice cream.

Rich taste. Creamy. Solid. A delight when mixed with Haagen-Dazs chocolate chip.

Dairy whip ice cream is a world of its own when it comes to such a treat.

Hard ice cream requires all the elements I have mentioned above.

If they are not evident then don’t bother with the product.

Nothing is worse than a mediocre bowl of ice cream. Finding just the right hard ice cream that satisfies each time every time is made a bit easier with Haagen-Dazs chocolate chip.

Great hard ice cream commercially produced and on sale at groceries can be disappointing.

Haagen-Dazs chocolate chip is a delight.

Try it out. With some whipped cream – well – what is there to say about such a treat!
