A fire of undetermined origin caused more than $100,000 of damage to a multi-family home 16-18 Lawrence Street late Monday afternoon.
Everett firefighters arriving on the scene found heavy smoke and flames jumping from the roof.
The blaze was brought under control by the rapid response and timely intervention of the firefighting team.
Firefighters not only were faced in knocking down the flames and dousing hot spots but fought as well the excessive heat of the day. The temperature was near to 93 as they fought the fire and put it out.
The well maintained two-family home was said to be worth more than $800,000 according to a recent Zillow estimate.
Zillow estimates that most of the homes in this area of the city carry values in that immediate range.
According to Zillow, the home was last sold in 2015.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Everett fire officials.
