Authorities say they are investigating a stabbing here on Cherry Street Monday night which left a 45 year old Everett
man, presently unidentified, dead.
The Middlesex County District Attorney’s office said the initial investigation indicates the man was tabbed after a “brief” altercation around 10:22 pm on Cherry Street.
Police arriving on the scene located the stabbed individual and transported him to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“He was laying down in the driveway there. I could see him from my window. There was a girl screaming in the street,”
one witness told WCVB reporters at the scene.
A knife was left on the hood of a sports utility vehicle that was parked along the road. Investigators were seen placing
evidence into bags in an area surrounded by crime scene tape.
“There was a scooter that was driving right around here and a motorcycle that was making a lot of noise, and that’s what
caught my attention,” one neighbor said, according to reports on WCVB 5.
