Accident Under Police Investigation

Saturday night about 1:40 a.m. an unidentified man apparently trying to cross the Revere Beach Parkway was killed when he was run over by a 2001 Toyota Camry.
State Police said the pedestrian crash took place on the westbound side of the parkway, near the intersection of Vine Street.
Another pedestrian trying to cross the Parkway way late at night was killed near to this exact spot several months back.
The pedestrian who was hit Saturday night was transported to the CHA Everett Hospital.
He was apparently dead on arrival at the hospital.
According to the State Police, the pedestrian was not in possession of any positive identification.
Troopers and Everett Police are apparently working to find his identity in order to notify next of kin.
The driver of the Toyota, a 46 year old Lynn man, remained at the scene of the crash.
According to the State Police, the driver of the car was cooperative with investigators.
He was not charged at the scene by the State Police.
Police cleared the scene shortly after 3:45 a.m.
The crash and the pedestrian death remains under the investigation of the State Police Crime Scene Services and Collision Analysis and Reconstruction teams.
