Win Third Straight
By Lorenzo Recupero
The Crimson Tide have found a way to win through the air and on the ground this season. In its latest victory, the Tide combined both efforts and shutdown a familiar foe in Boston College High School.
The 42-16 triumph marks the third straight win for the Tide, who are averaging 40 points per game over the last three games.
Crimson Tide (3-1) leading rusher Damien Lackland added two touchdowns in the win, including a 34-yarder. Quarterback Karmarri Ellerbe continued his strong season under center, tossing a 61-yard touchdown pass to speedy receiver Christian Zamor to go with his 2-yard and 4-yard TD runs. Ellerbe leads the team in scoring.
Lackland, Ellerbe and the Tide will host GBL rival Revere High School next at Everett Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday, October 7 at 6 p.m.
