I consider myself about the sports betting handicapper in the area.
When it comes to making sports bets, I’m like a guy going down a road who needs to turn left but instead turns right.
That doesn’t mean I can’t have my own opinion about big games like the Super Bowl coming up.
I’m told by many who claim to know that the smart money has bet on the Eagles to beat the Chiefs.
The Eagles defense is better than the Chiefs.
Mahomes will be hit again and again by the Chiefs powerful front line pass rush at a time when he’s without any wide receivers due to injuries.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts will be too much for the Chiefs defense, according to the experts.
Here’s how CBS/NFL sees the contest.
Kickoff from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. Philadelphia is a 1.5-point favorite in the latest Eagles vs. Chiefs odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/ under for total points scored is 50. Before locking in any Chiefs vs. Eagles picks, make sure you see the latest NFL predictions from SportsLine’s proven projection model.
The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up well over $7,000 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters the 2023 Super Bowl on an incredible 163-113 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. It is also on a 17-6 roll on top-rated NFL picks since Week 7 of this season and identified both the Eagles and Chiefs as its value Super Bowl picks at the beginning of the 2023 NFL playoffs.
Here’s the betting data:
• Eagles vs. Chiefs spread: Philadelphia -1.5 • Eagles vs. Chiefs over/under: 50 points
• Eagles vs. Chiefs money line: Philadelphia -125, Kansas City +105
• PHI: Eagles are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine playoff games
• KC: Chiefs have covered in their last three meetings with Philadelphia
I’m picking the Chiefs.
Here’s why.
I believe this Super Bowl is Patrick Mahomes moment under the sun. It is his time to triumph in a big way.
I predict he will lead the Chiefs to an incredible victory almost singlehandedly as he did two weeks ago in the championship final against Joe Burrows.
Mahomes will outshine Hurts and the Eagles.
Yes. He will bit hit repeatedly by the tough Eagles defense but with his arm he will outflank the Eagles and lead the Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory on Sunday.
