James Mastrocola, Thomas Messina, Jr. and Robin Babcock round out the list of hopefuls seeking to capture a place on the November ballot in the September primary.
This is yet another difficult war race to call.
Mastrocola is the best known of the three and comes from a prominent Everett family. He formerly owned Mastrocola Insurance on the Revere Beach Parkway.
He ran for council last time out and scored a solid vote.
Messina is a first timer with a working man’s background.
Babcock advertises herself on her Facebook post as “last on the ballot.”
Her name appears below those of Mastrocola and Messina.
Mastrocola is first. Messina is in the middle.
Babcock works for UMass Boston College of Nursing and Health Science. She is a mother and a teacher, as she says of herself on her Facebook page.
Some of the interest in this school committee race as in others centers around how these three might vote when it comes to Supt. of Schools Priya Tahiliani’s possible reappointment.
We shall see.
