Ward 4 Everett City Councilor Jimmy Tri Le must complete sexual harassment training and must stay away from Councilor Stephanie Martins following a judge’s ruling in Middlesex Superior Court last Tuesday.
Le has not appeared at a city council meeting since Martins reported being sexually assaulted by him at a social gathering at the Schiavo Club in March, 2022.
The assault was witnessed by Representative Dan Ryan, and was recorded on security video at the club, according to police, who questioned and interviewed Le after the incident.
At the time when the matter went to court, Le was ordered to have no contact with the victim. He was ordered to stay away from Martin, which has made it impossible for him to attend city council meetings.
Le, who is running for re-election, came in 2 votes behind Holly Garcia in a razor thin finish in primary balloting two weeks ago which is now heading for the final judgment in the upcoming November election.
Efforts by the Leader Herald to reach Le for a comment were unsuccessful.
