As weeks go with local law enforcement, this was a quiet week.
Through the first nine days of October, arrest plunged citywide, according to reports filed by the Everett Police Department and listed on their official online arrest log.
Five arrests were reported for the period October 2 through October 9.
A 32-year-old Malden man was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol and for the unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
A 32-year-old Everett man was arrested by police for shoplifting by asportation. Asportation means the detachment, movement, or carrying away of property, considered an essential component of the crime of larceny.
A 19-year-old East Boston man was arrested by police for the unlicensed operation of a stolen automobile.
An 18-year-old Boston man was arrested for receiving stolen property in excess of value of $1200.
A 48-year-old Circle Avenue Everett resident was arrested for failure to appear for an outstanding warrant and for Class B drug possession.
