Encore Boston Harbor scores biggest income month since opening in 2019

By Josh Resnek

December turned out to be the biggest month of gaming income yet for Encore Boston Harbor Casino and Hotel.

The Everett gambling mecca took in an astounding $65.8 million in December!

This new earnings peak marks the high point in Encore’s monthly gaming income from the casino since opening in September, 2019.

Industry sources claim Encore’s commanding dominance in the local gaming marketplace in New England has not yet reached what it will be in two to three years.

In addition, as the casino and hotel’s entertainment venues expand, added interest in goings on here will cause many, many thousands more to come to the casino for a visit.

In terms of Massachusetts, Encore stands as the king of the mountain with MGM Springfield a distant second place and the Slots Parlor in Plainridge Park.

MGM Springfield took in $23.6 million in gaming revenues.

Plainridge, a slot parlor, took in $13.6 million.

The breakdown for Encore released by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission reveals that patrons bet $36.1 million on slot machines – and incredible sum of wagering.

Table games produced $29.6 million.

Visits to the casino recently found the slots so crowded that at times it is difficult to find an empty seat at a slot machine.

Encore’s upward swing has been building for the past six months.
