Everett: Are You Ready to Be ‘Scared Safe?’

The Everett Police Department in conjunction with Everett Kiwanis is again running its Bike Safety Halloween Day . It will occur this Saturday October 27 from 1-3 PM at Glendale Park and invites all students and guardians from grades kindergarten through grade 5.

The first 100 youngsters will receive free fitted bike helmets and safety training from Everett’s Finest. Wear your Halloween costume and you might win a bike! Refreshments and gifts will be provided to all Everett ‘s youngsters.

Sensory Story Time

August’s Sensory Story Time at the Parlin Memorial Library will be on Saturday, August 11 at 11:00 am. Sensory Story Time is especially for those children who have difficulty interacting in large groups.

Songs, stories and activities are chosen to encourage participation and movement. All ages and abilities are welcome! The program is free, and there is no registration required. Please call the Parlin Library at (617) 394-2306 for more information.


Code Kids

Join the Everett Public Libraries for Code Kids! A club where children and teens can learn how to code in a fun environment. The next club meeting will be on Saturday, August 11th at 1PM at the Parlin Memorial Library in the meeting room. There is no registration required, and all library programs are free and open to the public.

State Rep. Debate Aug. 14

On Tuesday, August 14th, 2018, the Everett Democratic City Committee will present a debate among the candidates for the State Representative seat for the 28th Middlesex District representing Everett. The debate will be moderated by Sue Flicop of the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, Newton Chapter.
