Vanda “Vera” (DiFelice) Pescara, of Wakefield, formerly of Everett, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere after a brief illness. She was 89 years old. Vera was born in Vittorito, Italy and lived in Everett for many years before transitioning to Annarita’s home these last 10 years. She was a great cook making home-made pasta, best bread and delicious pizza. Her gnocchis were famous.
Eileen E. (Eden) Shapiro, 94, of Windham, NH, formerly of Lake Worth, FL, Everett and Lynnfield, beloved wife of the late William D. Shapiro died August 13th at the Windham Terrace in Windham, NH. Born in England she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen (Humphries) Eden.
Eileen was president of the Everett Medical Supply Company in Everett which she operated with her late husband. She was life member of the sisterhood of Congregation Tifereth Israel of Everett and president of the Lynnfield Band Boosters.
Dorothy Long (Martin) passed away on August 5 at the Massachusetts Gener- al Hospital. Dot was a life- long resident of Everett. She graduated from Everett High School and the Malden School of Business. She was accredited in American Sign Language by Boston University. She worked at H&R Block for 30 years and retired as District Manager.
