Baseball and Softball Seasons Get Underway

Jason Hennessey (#20) tossed 5 scoreless innings in an eventual 5-1 loss to Saugus.

The Crimson Tide Baseball and Softball seasons are officially underway with both teams opening the year against Saugus on Monday. The boys played at home at Glendale Park while the Lady Tide traveled to Saugus.

Following 5 scoreless innings from the Crimson, The boys eventually fell, 5-1, after Saugus broke-open the game with three runs in the sixth inning.

D’Onofrio Signs with Arena League Team

Joe D’Onofrio signs a contract with the New England Cavalry of the Arena Football League.

Everett’ native Joe D’Onofrio isn’t a stranger to success on the field — and that’s exactly why his football journey is still in play.

D’Onofrio, a former Everett High and Pope John football standout, was recently signed by the New England Cavalry of the Arena Football League.

The signing insures he will play for the team as part of the AFL’s 2018 football season.
