Autism Speaks

Councilor Mike McLaughlin is shown at the Queen Madonna Shrine in East Boston during the first week of April with a large group of Everett Families all participating in Autism Spectrum Awareness Day. McLaughlin was invited by the group to celebrate with them. It was a festive time for the hard working group who do so much to deal with autism. “Anytime I can help out worthy groups like these it is my duty and my pleasure,” McLaughlin told the Leader Herald. The Family Strength Initiative, better known as FSI for Autism, presented a $5,000 donation to the Integrated Learning Program at the Webster School and the Webster School Extension during Monday’s Everett School Committee meeting. The funds will be used to purchase supplies and materials to support the district’s substantially separate and partially included programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
