At the Hancock Street Fire Station last week, Everett firefighter Sean Hogan presented a $3500 check to Joanne Seneta, the co-president of The Pink Angels.

Seneta accepted the donation with gratitude and humility.

“We are totally blown away by what the Everett Firefighters Union Local 143 volunteers accomplished and that they chose us as the beneficiary. It just warms your heart. We know how hard it is to raise money. They just wanted to do something good for the community. And they certainly have!” Seneta said at the presentation.

Last October, the Everett Firefighters Union Local 143 hopped on board with the effort.

“People bought hundreds of these shirts. People were so generous,” she added.

“They ended up raising $3,500 after the Everett Firefighters Union Local 143 paid off the cost of the shirts,” she said with gratitude.

Everett Kiwanis Donates to Evelyn’s Little Public Libraries Network

Presenting the Kiwanis donation was President Fred Capone, accompanied by members of the Board of Directors and many Club members.

The Everett Kiwanis recently donated $1,000 to Evelyn Gayhart to establish a new little public library in the City of Everett. Evelyn established her first public library over four years ago. Since then, she has created three more.

With the Kiwanis donation, Evelyn will create a fifth little public library in Everett. The intent is to locate it in Glendale Park near the high school. Good luck Evelyn and keep up the great work!

After years of paying close attention to creating a place for himself on Beacon Hill, he has become one of the influential leaders in the Senate and might very likely become the next Senate president.

In a political world where stars are rising and where others are heading in the oppo- site direction, DiDomenico’s place in the Senate appears to be cemented in an upward trajectory– although anything can change in politics and often does.

The DiDomenico Foundation’s pre St. Patrick’s Day gala attracted a huge crowd, including the governor, the congresswoman, the mayor of Boston, and a legion of his Everett followers.
