It’s official, Napolitano chosen to be new assistant city clerk

Former City Councilor Peter Napolitano has won the selection process for the vacant assistant city clerk’s position.

The vote of his colleagues in confirming his nomination was 10-1.

When all was said and done and the selection process was at an end last weekend, it was apparently obvious to most observers that Napolitano was, and is, in fact, the most qualified local candidate for the job.

His former colleagues on the council all agreed.

We wish to congratulate former Councilor Peter Napolitano on his appointment as the Assistant City Clerk.

Napolitano will be jumping on where former Mayor and Assistant City Clerk David Ragucci left off when he recently retired – ending a very long run
of holding successful positions of great influence in this city for many years.

Napolitano brings to the position a knowledge of how this city works, and how the city clerk’s office is run.

Napolitano OK’d to seek asst. city clerk job

Former city councilor Peter Napolitano, the front runner for the vacant assistant city clerk’s position, has received an OK from the State Ethic’s Commission that there are no impediments in his way to seek the position.

This, according to Assistant City Solicitor Kevin Slattery.

Slattery informed the city council Monday night that the State Ethics Commission reported finding no conflict or any state ethics violations regarding his application for the position following an investigation.
