Random shootings, beatings and stabbings among other crimes creates law enforcement nightmare

Since the Encore Boston Harbor Casino and Hotel opened in June, 2019, there has been a plague of shootings, stabbings, beatings and riots at the casino and the hotel.

Just last week, police reported gun shots fired inside the casino and hotel’s main underground parking lot.

Wednesday night, police were called to the garage about the gunshots. An investigation is taking place.

For the past 2 years, police have consistently reported a wide variety of violence taking place on the property.

Encore has a zero tolerance policy about violence and has made repeated efforts to contain and to eliminate violence.

Casino analysts agree – wherever there is a casino there are problems with violence and lawlessness.

Man shot after leaving Encore Casino

A man in his 30’s was shot around 3 a.m. Sunday after spending time at the Encore according to Everett Police Chief Steven Mazzie.

Chief Mazzie and Middle- sex District Attorney Marian Ryan confirmed an investigation is ongoing about the shooting that occurred in the area of Sweetser Circle.

The identity of the shooting victim nor the circumstances of the shooting were released by the police.

Neither Mazzie nor Ryan went into great detail about the shooting except to say that Everett Police responded to a call around 3 a.m. Sunday morning on a report for a man with a gunshot wound.

Shooting on Partridge Leaves One Dead, Police Searching for Two Suspects

On October 8, just before 9PM, multiple gunshots rang out on Partridge Terrace leaving one man dead from gunshot wounds and two suspects still on the loose.

The victim, identified as 26-year-old Robert Hinckley, was shot multiple times and received CPR on the scene but later succumbed to his wounds at the Cambridge Health Alliance Hospital.

Hinckley, who moved recently from Chelsea, leaves behind a wife and 6-year-old daughter.

Everett Man Gunned Down at Local Lounge Saturday Night

A deadly shooting in front of the Karma Lounge in Glendale Square Saturday around 1 a.m. has shocked the neighborhood.

Jarrod Harris, 47, of Everett was allegedly shot twice in the chest during an altercation that apparently began inside the Karma Lounge – a hookah lounge – and spilled out onto the sidewalk.

It ended with Harris being shot twice during a barrage of gunshots and then staggering to the opposite side of Ferry Street where he collapsed on the sidewalk.

He was aided by good Samaritans until an ambulance arrived and rushed him to the Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
