Susan (Peavey) Guess, 64, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Sue was the daughter of Miriam and Melvin Peavey. She was born and raised in Everett, Massachusetts, and graduated from Everett High School and then attended Salem State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. After college, she worked as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in the ICU, CCU, and RICU units. Sue met her husband Mark in 1983 in Harwich, Massachusetts, and moved to Iowa in 1984 and worked at Methodist Hospital in CCU. Sue and Mark were married in 1986, and welcomed their daughter Kathryn in 1989.
