The Pats lose again

The Patriots are now 2-9 after an appalling loss to the New York Giants.

The Pats missed an opportunity to tie the game with a field goal from 35 yards out with about 25 seconds remaining in the game when they were behind 10-7.

That field goal had it been made would have tied the game and given the hapless Pats a chance to throw another interception, most likely.

The Pats can’t buy a win.

Mac Jones and Zappe don’t have the right stuff.

The Pats are now the worst team in pro football, and that is really saying something for a team that dominated the league for two decades.

Nothing lasts forever, and us Pats fans are certainly finding this out as this season progresses to its inevitable, sickening end. The Pats have collapsed.

It is hard to win games in the NFL.

It is just as hard to lose games in the NFL.

Most bad NFL teams can win games – but not the Pats. This isn’t about the coach of the Pats. It is about then players and their inability to compete successfully with their peers.

It is a sad, sad, sad situation for a team that was so proud, so good and so accomplished.
