Those of us who pay attention to the meanderings of Donald Trump and Joe Biden are wondering how the former president’s criminal trial is going to come out.
Mind you, it is not illegal to pay someone to keep their mouth shut. How you pay that person, where the money comes from, who delivers it and how the conspiracy was hatched all leads to who is responsible.
If the money that was paid by the former president to Stormy Daniels the porn star, with whom she claims he had an “affair,” was funny money delivered by his former lawyer on behalf of the former president to Daniels, then the former president is guilty of a crime.
In other words, a jury of twelve will ultimately decide whether Trump falsified business records to hide hush money to the former porn star.
Trump has been telling the media that this trial he must attend in New York City is a Communist style trial where everything about it is fake. He says it’s like trials that go on in Russia. He claims it’s a plot against him by those in the criminal justice system who don’t want to see him elected president again.
That’s a bit of an oversimplification, although he is the first former president to be tried criminally, and that is quite a distinction.
If you don’t know much about Stormy Daniels you can go to Google and type in her name and be directed to her sex videos. I’ll warn you, they are explicit sex videos, showing Stormy at her stormy best doing her thing.
She puts on quite a show, and claims the former president enjoyed her company.
She exhibits a number of significant moves in her videos.
The former president insists he was never with her. There are however photographs showing Trump side by side with her smiling and him seemingly enjoying himself. They are fully clothed in the photographs.
When I wrote her name in on Google as I wrote this piece, her name came up 89 million times being viewed previously.
When I checked her name for videos, 5,380,000 results had been recorded before mine.
Stormy has become a celebrity since her porn star days.
In the new America dawning, her celebrity rooted in porn star behavior is par for the course.
According to her Wikipedia bio online, she chose her stage name Stormy Daniels to reflect her love of American rock band Motley Crue, whose bassist, Nikki Sixx named his daughter Storm.
Daniels claims she had sex once with Trump.
Trump says she is lying.
Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, told prosecutors that he paid Daniels $130,000 “at the direction of the candidate,” the candidate being Trump, “for the purpose of influencing the election.”
The trial began Monday in Manhattan.
Trump attended.
He looked tired to me with bags forming under his eyes, but then, I’ve only known Trump through photographs. However, at 78, you can be assured, that court wears you down. Even Trump gets worn down by having to attend court, and no less, a criminal trial where prosecutors have labelled him a criminal.
We must all ask ourselves, do we really care whether or not he had sex with Stormy Daniels? Does it matter? Does it matter if he paid her hush money to keep quiet in the runnup to the election and after?
Prosecutors claim it matters.

Will it matter if he is convicted?
Will he be forced to serve time in jail?
Can he run for president from jail?
Will the Supreme Court rule he is immune from prosecution?
These are just some of the many imponderables that will be ruled upon in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, just like you and I, Trump is forced to appear in court and can be arrested if he chooses not to.
Facing criminal charges, whether or not you are a former president, is a bitter pill to
swallow and a predicament of the first order. Stormy Daniels will likely be testifying. The former president may also testify.
His former lawyer Cohen will likely take the stand.
It should be, could be, will be a circus, a sumptuous media meal feasted upon by hoards of “journalists” and television reporters and Internet news outlets.
This is a storm in the making.
