Former Everett firefighter on sexual predator list accused of rape, stripped of award presented to him by EFD

By Josh Resnek

Wendy Poste, a lifelong Everett resident, has been trying to bring to justice former Everett fire fighter Albert Murphy, who she claims, drugged her and raped her in Salisbury in 2019.

The former firefighter is believed to have moved to Mexico.

Poste’s efforts to prosecute a rape charge against the former firefighter have been ongoing since the alleged rape.

Reports of the alleged rape were filed with the Salisbury Police Department.

Law enforcement has not positively responded to her repeated accusations for justice claiming there is not enough evidence to sustain her rape claims.

Further discovery reveals that former Everett firefighter Murphy pleaded guilty to indecent assault and battery of a child under 14 years of age in Salisbury in 1996.

Will Alcy Charge Mayor In Court With Exposing Himself To Her?

By Josh Resnek

Guerline Alcy has charged Mayor Carlo DeMaria with exposing himself to her inside his city hall office while she was employed by the city. The allegations by the married mother of three children against the mayor have not been publicly denied or acknowledged by the mayor.

The mayor has turned to attorneys he is presently using in a law suit to subpoena Alcy in the hope of questioning her about her allegations.

Alcy has hired legal counsel, apparently.

Alcy has alleged that she was sexually assaulted as well as harassed and discriminated and retaliated against.

Alcy is Black. She was born in Haiti. She has lived in Everett for two decades.

Her legal counsel is presently bringing himself up to speed with the allegations, which were published in the Leader Herald three weeks ago, according to sources familiar with the case.

Alcy alleged that she was sexually harassed by the mayor repeatedly and overlooked for higher positions during the course of her nine year employment with the city.

Carlo DeMaria Attempted To Assault Me When I was 17

By Michael W. Delia Special to the Leader Herald

Did you know that Mayor Carlo DeMaria attempted to assault a 17-year-old boy nearly nineteen years ago? True story.

This tale begins in 2003 when the author was working as a gas station attendant for Energy North Stores at 2 Shirley Street in Winthrop,

Massachusetts. Mr. DeMaria was a tenant of one of the storefronts in the gas station complex, leasing space for his Honey Dew Donuts chain.

At the time, Mr. DeMaria was an Alderman for the City of Everett, working his way towards an eventual meteoric, seemingly corrupt and patronage-laden rise to present day mayor.

For months in 2003, tensions were brewing between the staff of Energy North Stores and Mr. DeMaria and his business practices. It was no secret that he allegedly hired underage girls and purportedly behaved inappropriately in their presence. Mr. DeMaria and I clashed when he demanded my store open 15 minutes early so he could make his doughnut delivery — despite the fact my company was unwilling to pay me any additional over time ahead of the usual 6:00 AM opening time.

To carry favor with the other staff of Energy North Stores, Mr. DeMaria started offering them free coffee and pastry. Although he made several overtures to bribe me through these efforts, I saw through his weak bargaining attempts and was unwilling to accept his offer.

Everett Man Charged in Securities Fraud Scheme

Defendant allegedly participated in a pump-and-dump and misappropriation scheme

Special to the Leader Herald

An Everett man has been charged in a superseding indictment in connection with two securities fraud schemes: one involving an alleged pump-and-dump and one involving the alleged misappropriation of tens of thousands of dollars of investor funds to pay his personal expenses.

Christopher R. Esposito, 55, was charged in a superseding indictment with one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and sale of unregistered securities, one count of securities fraud and one count of sale of unregistered securities, concerning the alleged pump-and-dump scheme. In April 2022, Esposito was indicted on one count of securities fraud and one count of wire fraud, in relation to the alleged misappropriation scheme.

According to the charging documents, Esposito and co-conspirator Anthony Jay Pignatello conspired between 2012 and 2015
to conceal their control over the Massachusetts-based microcap company Cannabiz Mobile, Inc. and to use backdated promissory notes to fraudulently obtain free-trading shares in the company. They then allegedly arranged for a promotional campaign in October 2015 to pump up Cannabiz Mobile’s stock so that they could sell – i.e., dump – their shares into the market and make money. In so doing, they allegedly sold and offered to sell Cannabiz Mobile stock in violation of the securities laws because the securities were not registered with the SEC and no exemption from SEC registration was available.

Racism, Sexism, Corruption Focus Shifts Back to DeMaria

By Josh Resnek

All eyes are now turned to Mayor Carlo Demaria.

The mayor’s absolute, unconditional silence about overt racism revealed about his cousin and campaign manager Councilor Anthony DiPierro has him staggering following DiPierro’s resignation Monday.

The resignation of the mayor’s communications chief Deanna Deveney, and the mayor’s extraordinary silence about her racist comments are made all the more inexcusable as Deveney is a lawyer.

In a press release announcing their departure released yesterday, which was not sent to the Leader Herald, the mayor continued his drift from the emerging Everett mainstream of protest against perceived racism of the city government by the city’s minority majority population now rising up.

In that press release the mayor used the word “healing.” He implied wrongs had been committed, that changes needed to be made but did not comment a word about DiPierro or Deveney’s actions insulting, demeaning and otherwise marginalizing Black people and Brown people, Hispanics and Brazilians with outrageous racist memes and statements.

“It is hard to talk about healing while the mayor said nothing about the perpetrators of hate he protected for more than two months in the hope it would all go away if everyone waited long enough,” said John Puopolo.
